The VisitingPrisons team was pulled together, mostly at random, during Social Innovation Camp. After having been awarded second prize at the camp, the team continued to meet regularly to continue to explore the new area of society that most of us knew nothing about. This site attempts to capture some of the work that we did to explore this field.

Now, our fuel is running low. There is only so much energy that people are able to direct towards a project in their spare time. However, we really do believe that with a small push, significant changes could be brought about in this area.

Where next
Now that we know that something can be done, we need to find out the best solutions. Our next steps are to find the movers and shakers already active in this arena, and add to their work. We would like to open up the conversation around this topic, and allow as many people as possible to contribute. Once a conversation is established, we can find, and implement a viable solution.
